Description

(OoC Disclaimer: this is partially a SHEATHES-Echelon Subject, meaning it can only influence, function and exist within the Yggdrasil Galactic Triumvirate, but if it shows up anywhere else, it will do so as a Lesser Variant of its original self. Why would the Monarchs make something as extreme as this? Well, they don't have a choice in the matter. War Games force them to constantly one-up each other in a never-ending arms race. Subjects must outdo each other, but then are in turn just as quickly outdone by an opposing Subject created in response to them. Even if SHEATHES-10 were a Conquest-Oriented SHEATHES, which being an Exploration-Oriented SHEATHES they are not, they may only rely on STABS-Echelon Subjects to fight where STABS Colonies have been established. In any case, this Subject is just to give a glimpse of what the Monarchs are like outside the bounds of the RP, and its showing is purely for fun. Note: this disclaimer sets apart Subjects whose Original Variants are limited to the Yggdrasil Galactic Triumvirate only. RPG versions will be outlined in the Locking Glyphs Document.)

GENERAL OVERVIEW

- There comes a time when a Monarchs is torn between two or more concepts. This is not a matter of 'if' or 'how' they can bring about a conceiving a Subject; no matter how long it may take, if they wish to make it, they will make it. It boils down to personal preferences, or whatever they may be in the mood for concerning a War Games Session. The truth about documenting a Monarch’s Subjects is that any recorded info can never be trusted.

- While Azegan Emissaries will forever maintain their task of jotting down whatever details they wish to jot down, usually enigmatically-written to conceal certain details or because they’re not interested in prying further, fact of the matter is that any Monarch can choose to alter their Subjects effortlessly. Within the Yggdrasil Galactic Triumvirate, that is the Monarchs’ sole right, and even the most skilled outsider is powerless to avert, countermand or dictate whatever the Monarchs have declared about their Subjects. If they want a ship larger than a galactic quadrant, and they want that ship to exist without any gravity-based problems, then it happens without fail - and each Monarch calls upon either a Natural, Unnatural or Supernatural method of accomplishing such a task, depending on the Monarch in question. The changes can be as simple as an upgrade to update a favored Subject for newer War Games Session, or it could be a complete overhaul. The changes can be completely unpredictable, and be swift enough that right after a Subject has been (allowed to be) scanned by any faction, its Essences, Ingredients and Components would become entirely different, if not utterly falsified, previous to said scanning. There can be no reverse-engineering a genuine SHEATHES-10 either. Best-case scenario is that the Subject was altered by its Monarch before the scanners went to work, meaning the data gathered cannot be trusted. Another scenario is that by the time any results have been procured by a scan, the ‘compromised’ Subject had already undergone so much transformations that it leaves its former, inferior self (and the competitors resulting cheap knockoffs) behind by leaps and bounds. That is, if the Subject’s Monarch doesn’t just up and decides to take control of the replicas directly, as a bastardization of any Subject will still belong to its rightful master no matter who did the leeching or what countermeasures and adjustments have been taken. But that is something one is probably already familiar with.

- Going back to the topic of Monarch preferences prior to the red herring of Monarch Authority, it’s not that the Monarchs can’t use Subjects with shapeshifting capabilities every War Games Session, it’s that they just plain may not want to.

- However, there are times when the Monarchs’ likes or dislikes are moot when it comes to making a decision. Empress Gaia was once conflicted about whether to make a certain Subject an immovable Object and an Irresistible Force at the same time; people make the mistake of assuming she can’t employ Paradoxes using Natural Means (remember, her Nature may be affiliated with the Resident Universe’s Realm of Nature, but it’s not entirely limited there; the Natura State obeys her Natural Laws, and those can subsist without crossing over into the domains of the Arcana or Machina States) but the truth is she didn’t know which one to pick. In the end, she got lazy and decided her Subject would be both. And instead of personal preferences getting in the way, they instead helped her cook up a sweet, sweet dish of revenge.

- See, Empress Gaia is a motherly figure, and consequently her more 'motherly' Subjects are the ones she favors extra. That sentiment, regrettably, isn't shared by her colleagues. It goes without saying that when Subject designs she's become more emotionally-attached to are made fun of, or destroyed, or both, Empress Gaia is wounded more painfully than usual. One of her first favorite Subjects got this kind of treatment, and Empress Gaia, unwilling to give up on its design, has seen it torn apart on every War Games Session since. No matter how many improvements she made, it seemed to always be outdone every subsequent War Games. That was until not too long ago, when she grew strong enough to produce Cosmic Organisms, beings that have naturally evolved beyond the mundane. Her first Cosmic Organisms could be considered the least among Cosmics by SHEATHES-10 standards, but now, they are a challenge to any Pantheon or Construct that Emperor Vulcan and Empress Hecate can bring to bear.

- The Verdant Empress used this new advantage to propel one of her old darlings into a new league altogether, and she went on to show that the Machina and Arcana State aren’t the only ones who could think outside the box. The Subject that will be discussed by this document would ascertain that. Both a weapon of unrelenting devastation and a shield of unsurmountable resilience, the Natura State would prove again that when it came to control over the Fabric of Reality, even the paragons of Technology and Magic could know shame.

PICTURE OVERVIEW

- 1: 'Turtle-Ant Queen'. An organism born out of multiple Natura strains, with the majority coming from the Natura 'Turtle' and the Natura 'Ant', resulting in a hybrid with hive-mind capabilities and immense durability.

- 2: 'Hyperpsionic Fins'. The wings of the 'Heavenberry Matriarch' are stuffed with 'Psionmass Glands', which will be elaborated on in the Utility Overview. They are the primary locomotion and anchoring means of this Subject.

- 3: Natura 'Berry Vines'. A 'Taiga Grove' that is tasked with producing clusters of fruit. The 'Heavenberry Matriarch' is particularly special when it comes to this regard.

- 4: 'Supra-Psionic Corona'. The special tissue of the 'Heavenberry Matriarch' that connect it with its Cosmic Self, which will be discussed further in the Utility Overview.

- 5: Cross Section of a 'Hypersonic Fin' piece with 'Psionmass Glands' included. Said glands rest just below the surface, where they can perform their abilities and partake in Cosmosynthesis at the same time; more on that in the Utility Overview.

UTILITY OVERVIEW

- The Natura 'Turtle' and Natura 'Ant' Strains used for the (seemingly) primary component of the 'Heavenberry Matriarch' are as usual mutated not only to suit Empress Gaia's whims, but also to cooperate with each other. The Subject Strains are also specific, just as natural animals can have many species or roles. For the Natura 'Ant' Strain in question the 'Queen' Caste is used, and the 'Giant Tortoise' Branch is attributed to its other half. The first of the two Subject Strains had been selected for its ability to give birth to a constant stream of specialized Subjects in service to Empress Gaia, and the second for its size and toughness. Even impossibly-strong attacks that succeed in vaporizing the rest of a 'Heavenberry Matriarch' always fail to damage its shell for some reason.

- The Hive Mind accessible to a Natura 'Ant Queen' occurs on a telepathic level, that's for sure, but that's where the conventional ends. Many have made intelligent guesses that a widespread sabotage of any kind of mental communication would disrupt a Natura 'Ant Queen's ability to command its brood, and among those would be Emperor Vulcan and Empress Hecate. To the surprise of everyone who's ever succeeded, even that doesn't hinder Natura 'Ant Queen'. Empress Gaia is secretive about this Natura Asset, and the closest that Emperor Vulcan has ever come to unraveling this biological enigma is that Empress Gaia had combined the mind of the Natura 'Ant Queen' with some kind of Quantum (maybe caused by Quantumphages) Phenomenon where one particle can exist in multiple places. Ergo, the mind of the 'Ant Queen' and its children are 'one' in both unity and location, and that there were never any 'connections' to 'sever' to begin with. The next logical step would then be to seek this location and then destroy it. But once Emperor Vulcan (and then Empress Hecate after stealing his research) did find said location out, eliminating it was a plan that went straight out the window, for what they discovered was that the main threat lay in not 'what' the 'Heavenberry Matriarch' was, but 'who'.

- Normally, the following information would be found in the Employment or Travel Overview. However, it is a relevant introduction to the next paragraph. At first glance, the diminutive (by Natura State Standards) ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’ seems hardly the champion it’s meant to be. The way it is deployed in swarms and shot down in droves also makes it seem like an ordinary unit, more suited to absorbing incoming fire and having no large and immediate impact on a battle, at least not to the extent of actual Elite-Tier Subjects. The truth is, what seems to be a suicidal flock rushing into the midst of enemy ranks is actually just one ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’ one the move. And while it’s true that they can unleash their specialty at a distance, by getting close they can commence their work a lot more quickly, not to mention that by drawing fire away from other Natura Subjects, they actually save Empress Gaia more resources in the long run. It’s when a single one of those ‘many’ ‘Heavenberry Matriarchs’ gains a ‘foothold’ does the real fun begin.

- Natura 'Cosmic Organisms': Both the Three States (and their Fusions) have gained access to this Asset not too long after the establishment of SHEATHES-10, but only in Monarch Concept and within Excell-Enclosed Realities. The Natura State had creatures that had evolved to a 'Higher State of Being', the Machina State had Constructs that operated on the same level, and the Arcana State had Deities and other Supernatural Entities of like order. However, it took a while for the Three Monarchs to gain enough strength to actually Manifest such Subjects out of their Excell-Enclosed Realities using their Essence, Will and Authority as ingredients. But when they did start using them in War Game Sessions, Empress Gaia was the one who drew first blood, with Empress Hecate's fully-realized Pantheons (they weren't at full operational capacity beforehand) coming in a close second, and then Emperor Vulcan coming in third with his Cosmic Constructs. That being said, Natura 'Cosmic Organisms' are Cosmic in every sense of the word, even generally speaking. 'Cosmic' is simply one term considered by Empress Gaia denoting all kinds of Higher Entities, whether Divine, Ascended, or simply Beyond-Mundane in other ways to an extreme point; not simply Super Beings, but enough to warrant a complete detachment of association, power-scale and complexity from anything and everything inferior to it. Now, despite the limitations of how SHEATHES work (which is something beyond the Monarchs, much more so than any kind of transcendence) where such Subjects exist there can be no undermining or denying their capabilities. Even the mightiest Elder Ones and Outer Gods, trying to prove superiority to the supposedly inferior SHEATHES-10 Cosmics by attacking from outside the Omniverse SHEATHES-10 is located in, have been sucked in and devoured like the least of prey to the greatest of predators; such Entities remain in a state of being digested, minds broken and filled with false memories to the point that some of them believe they’ve succeeded in defeated SHEATHES-10 Cosmics when in fact their only thoughts are that which are provided to them. The very first Natura 'Cosmic Organisms' can exhibit a gestalt that can go toe to toe with any Unfathomable Entity, and they have improved only since then, which is a paradox, but a paradox Empress Gaia has bowled over like nothing. 'Ever-Evolving Perfection' truly is self-contradictory, but Empress Gaia pays no heed to it, or more accurately, the fact that such a crazy statement is self-contradictory does zilch to impede her. Like her colleagues, when it comes to War Games, there is no limit to what they can manufacture. They will not be outdone by each other, and if that calls for inventing something illogical, then it happens, simple as that. Of course, there is a problem with such Subjects, and that problem is why they're limited to SHEATHES-10 War Games: incredibility in size, complexity and substance. For example, the first Natura 'Cosmic Organisms' were so large that not even the Resident Universe could fit them in, nor the War Games Arena itself at the time. It would take a few decades before the Monarchs grew powerful enough to make a War Games Arena large enough to accommodate (and more importantly contain) such clashes. By then, Subjects like the XvX-Superglutton had popped up, and Empress Gaia and Empress Hecate had engaged in a quarrel as to who gets to make existence-spanning Eldritch Abominations. Even then, not all Cosmic Levels are equal, and there exist Subjects still too lofty and large for wholly fit into SHEATHES-10 War Game Sessions, and therefore only fractions of them or their gestalt can enter in. Natura 'Cosmic Organisms' are 'natural', have 'species' and 'roles', despite 'evolving beyond' such petty ideas. It is something that only their Empress can understand and manage, and even then, with every War Games Session that elapses, she cannot help but continue to unleash newer, better, higher.

- As mentioned earlier, Empress Gaia was the first one who employed Cosmics with a 'formal' identity and in a 'proper' way. That came a surprise to Empress Hecate, who thought that her Pantheons would be the first to pioneer this SHEATHES-10 Asset. This was because while the Empress of the Arcana State was still trying to cram such enormous Assets into so small a space, Empress Gaia had figured out a way to make of them without them actually being in the War Games Arena. This is also why in previous documents, Empress Gaia is listed as using Cosmic Entities as her trump card, whereas Empress Hecate used Cosm-Breaker Arrays and Emperor Vulcan used Coding Fields as Grand Escutcheon. That may or may not have undergone some change, and all the Cosmic Assets of the Monarchs may or may not be equal a this point, and Empress Gaia may or may not have more effective answers to her colleagues’ superweapons; it’s hard to keep up. However, back in the old days, the Crimson and Azure Monarchs had to call on their Patrons for rulings on such an action, but Dante was in favor for it, as Empress Gaia thought outside the box. The method she used relied heavily on the following Natura State goods:

- Natura Psionmass Assets: One of the most curious objects in the Natura State. In the past, Empress Gaia has made several attempts to come up with an answer to Emperor Vulcan's Coding Screens, which are a fusion of Reality and Virtual Reality, Information and Fact, what is 'actual' and what is 'conceptual', all operating on an unfathomably-intricate basis. Her reply takes form of a Psionics-Substance Collaboration of sorts: 'mind' and 'material' combined into something entirely new. This Natura State Asset is not unlike an Arcana State counterpart that goes by the designation of Tulpa. The difference is that Natura 'Psionmass' exists as a 'thing' that straddles both states of being (i.e. being a 'thought' and being 'real') at the same time, where Arcana Tulpa creates something via thinking about it, and the object crosses from one plane of existence to another. Natura 'Psionmass' can be manipulated as if it was being Reality-Warped just by a Natura mind thinking. While it still can't quite match Emperor Vulcan's Machina Coding Screens pound for pound, Natura 'Psionmass' is an undeniably versatile and powerful Asset. Its formation, however, requires two key ingredients, namely Terragem Substances and Territorial Psionics. In 'Heavenberry Matriarchs', Psionmass is created by a special mass of flesh called the Psionmass Gland.

- Psionmass Gland: the exact trappings of this Natura State Asset is unknown, but there are clues that lead the other Monarchs to believe that it is constructed mostly out of Terragem Assets and pre-constructed Psionmass. Aside the creation of more Psionmass, these invaluable collection of tissues can collaborate with other Natura State Assets to channel Natura Reality Warping and condensed Territorial Psionics through themselves, passing those two through Psionmass formed into a special enzyme, which is basically a biological catalyst. What the glands secrete after a series of incomprehensible procedures is Psionfact, which is essentially Reality Warping itself, but on an entirely and monumentally higher order.

- Territorial Psionics: Highly confidential, and one of the Grand Escutcheon of the Natura State. It differs from regular Psionics in that it cannot be overridden or negated within SHEATHES-10 Territory. However, if a Subject within SHEATHES-10 Territory attempts to use it on a Target outside SHEATHES-10 Territory, its traits revert to that of ordinary Psionics, and can be cancelled out by an equal or greater mind and/or form of Psionics. Also, even if Territorial Psionics are immune to negative interactions within SHEATHES-10 Borders, that doesn't mean it's all-powerful. While it cannot be nullified using any means, Technological or Magical, if a Natura Subject uses Telekinesis to throw a rock at an enemy, the rock will be thrown at a speed that said Subject can manage. If an enemy Telekinetic throws an identical rock at a higher speed, then the first rock will be stopped by the second. All Territorial Psionics do is prevent anything from stopping the Subject from using Psionics aside destroying it through conventional means. An Anti-Psionic Shield will have no effect against Territorial Psionics if the latter and (the Subject using the latter) is within SHEATHES-10 Territory, but it will have an effect on Psionics usage outside the Monarchs' borders.

- Trailing behind the Heavenberry Matriarch are its ‘Berry Vines’. These are a type of a regular ‘Taiga Grove’, not quite large enough to be consider ‘Kilotaiga’, well-suited to producing clusters of fruit and then protecting itself with thorns. However, ‘Heavenberry Matriarchs’ seem to have a lot of Psionmass Glands on their vines in place of thorns, and the aforementioned glands have mutated all the Absorption Rhizomes surrounding them. What ‘Heavenberry Matriarchs’ use their ‘Berry Vines’ for is actually absorb the surrounding Universe, feeding on it like a plant does (think Photosynthesis, only Cosmosynthesis hits closer to the mark) and then using that energy to jump-start the production of clusters of Quantumphage Colonies made out of Psionmass and Psionfact (and even Cosmoplasm; more on that later) that permeate and infect the surrounding area. To maximize the rate and efficiency of spread, the ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’ will move its ‘Berry Vines’ into a spherical, web-like formation, blazing forth with blinding light. As the glowing mass of Natura-consecrated Reality seeps out further and further, radiating outward like an emerald haze from a glowing fractal of white, the Resident Universe itself flees from this testament of Empress Gaia’s might.

- Thus is ‘Demicosmic Nest’ of the ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’ formed; only then can Empress Gaia’s ‘darling’ reveal its true power from beyond the boundaries of the current realm. This is like a Monarch Territory within a Monarch Territory, even to the Monarchs themselves. For any enemy, now is not the time to enact petty bravado.

- The Supra-Psionic Corona is this made up of unfathomably-complex proteins made out of Psionmass and Psionfact and a tiny sliver of the ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’s Cosmic Self’s power. This untouchable, unbreakable, uninterruptible cord is what ties the Mundane Self of the 'Heavenberry Matriarch' with its Cosmic Self, which exists above and beyond the Resident Universe but somehow still within SHEATHES-10. Back then, the confines of an Excell-Enclosed Reality connected to the War Games Session was employed. Nowadays, Empress Gaia just has them linger about in her personal storage outside War Games, something which her colleagues still consider cheating but don’t mind imitating. When fully-activated in the presence of a ‘Demicosmic Nest’, the link between both the ‘Heavenberry Matriarchs’ selves becomes fully-actualized. In effect, the Supra-Psionic Corona is the ‘third party’ to the whole gong show. It is both ‘inside’ Regular Reality and ‘outside of it. While it is dormant without an active ‘Demicosmic Nest’, nothing can truly sever a ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’ from its Cosmic Self.

- As for other utility features, the ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’ appears to be rather standardized. It possesses Natura Assets like Rampant Stems Cells, Quantumphage Strains, Terragem Components and Biological Products, as well as Psionic Nuclei, among a few other things. This is because it doesn’t need anything that special to do what it is needed to do. All that is required for a ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’ to be a rampaging terror is to move into position and meditate, and it already has ample tools to follow through with what happens right after.

TRAVEL OVERVIEW

- Mobility-wise, the ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’ is a proud speedster. It cannot perform any teleportation-like or FTL techniques due to certain intricacies and its colossal weight, but it makes up for that with unnerving agility. Its ‘Hyperpsionic Fins’, while better suited to helping its ‘Berry Vines’ summon a ‘Demicosmic Nest’, can propel and maneuver the Subject they’re attached to with the acrobatic flair of an interceptor. That doesn’t mean they can avoid everything thrown at them. However, it’s frustrating to see one’s doom approaching, knowing one can attain safety with a few well-placed shots, only those critical hits never happen quick enough, and suddenly it’s too late.

- Once snug in a ‘Demicosmic Nest’, the ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’ loses all ability to move, even in its own special kingdom. The truth is, it rarely needs to.

ATTACK OVERVIEW

- Once the ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’ has established a ‘Demicosmic Nest’, it gains access to three modes that it can switch between at will. In all of its Modes, the 'Heavenberry Matriarch' is fond of Cosmoplasm Volleys, lobbing countless ‘globules’ of Natura Reality Warping, Natura Psionics and Psionfact so condensed, they take on a corporeal and visible form. While there are Natura Subjects capable of projecting already-exotic forms of Reality Warping, two of which were just mentioned, there are enemy Subjects cable of defying, denying or destroying even the most all-powerful forms of Reality Warping itself, directly to boot. Cosmoplasm is on another level of intensity and power, so much as to make any other kind of Reality Warping impotent. It actually can’t even be classified as 'mere' Reality Warping any more. Cosmoplasm is of a 'Nature' unlike any other, still not Magical, but maybe even beyond that too. In fact, 99.999% of the most diluted Cosmoplasma's components are not dedicated to performing its work, but towards keeping itself contained, weak, and tethered to the current Universe, otherwise it would simply transcend the current Reality and not interact with it, like a how a star would be too big to fit into a matchbox. The remaining 0.001% of its actual power is what devastates entire fleets, knocks the most overpowered foes of their high horses, instantly terraforms entire galaxies, or bowls aside even the largest superweapons like paper sheets in a hurricane. Just because Emperor Vulcan and Empress Gaia worked double-time to match and/or surpass this asset in the next War Games didn't dampen the fact that once a flock of Subjects wielding Cosmoplasm showed up, things got a little crazy.

- Due to its extreme nature, Cosmoplasm is understandably harder to produce and/or wield than its ingredients. When not engaged in combat, the ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’ prefer to take its ease, going for as minimal an amount of effort as it can manage to accomplish a task. It won’t even bother using Telekinesis if it finds using its ‘Berry Vines’ much easier. Of course, the more ancient ‘Heavenberry Matriarchs’ have been known to find Cosmoplasm usage easier than moving its own limbs, and those are the ones the other two Monarchs had to watch out for.

- In Parental Mode, the 'Heavenberry Matriarch's swarms are the primary source of damage. This is because Cosmoplasm is used mostly to protect or support them. The 'Heavenberry Matriarch' is rather adept at circumventing or removing both damage and effects alike from its children. There are even reports of Cosmoplasm hitting the location of an already-dead Natura Subject, fracturing its timeline on a quantum level, and then bringing about a 'Schroedinger's Cat' Event, where the Subject was both dead and alive until observed. But, for some reason, only the event where the Subject was alive came into play. Theories have suggested that the 'Heavenberry Matriarch' simply decided what 'Probability' itself would bring about. That it was simply a Reality Warping event was debunked when it was found out that the Subject in question had died to an unknowable bolt of energy from Emperor Vulcans warships, and it was an attack that supposedly wiped out the Subject on all possible planes and levels of existence, from Time, to Memorial, to Material. Cosmoplasm can also be used to outright mutate allies, or even bestow them a partial Cosmic Self via instant evolutions. The possibilities are as endless as the ranks of Subjects a 'Heavenberry Matriarch' can conceive and send out in a single moment. This is the go-to of a Heavenberry Matriarch, even more so than its Universal Mode. It is a mother first, like its Empress, and then a force to be reckoned with.

- In Universal Mode, the 'Heavenberry Matriarch's Cosmic Self does most of the work. The Subject concentrates and then lets in more and more of its Cosmic Self inside. Because of the intensity of the concentration required, the ‘Demicosmic Nest’ produced by the ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’ stops growing, meaning it’s stuck with whatever it’s got at the moment. This is why having the ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’ get into a good position to begin with is a strategy Empress Gaia has kept. However, despite the limited area of effect of this ability, the longer the ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’ channels more and more of its Cosmic Self into the ‘Demicosmic Nest’, more unstoppable it gets. With each passing instant, it gains access to more and more of its power, and while it will never reach 100% Cosmic Status outside the Yggdrasil Galactic Triumvirate, and despite all the Monarchs having access to things stronger than Cosmic nowadays, neither Emperor Vulcan or Empress Hecate would prefer a Universal Mode ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’ to go unchecked for long.

- In Fatal Mode, the 'Heavenberry Matriarch' unleashes not the usual 'globules' of Cosmoplasma, but a brutal salvo of 'rivers' that rampage through the vastest sections of a War Games Arena, unimpeded by the strongest Subjects. It did not matter if the Target was five universes away, owing to the immensity and mechanics of the SHEATHES-10 War Games Arena. It did not matter that Empress Hecate literally lined up her entire batch of Subjects for that War Games Session to bar the blast of a flock of 'Heavenberry Matriarchs' in an attempt to protect her main base. It did not matter that the Arcana Base at the time was itself twice the size of the largest universe in the immediate multiverse. Everything was blown away by Empress Gaia's trump card. Even if the 'Heavenberry Matriarch' did meet its match or defeat against future contenders from the Machina and Arcana States (and that is to be expected; Absolutes are a complicated thing with the Monarchs, i.e. those can be 'false', 'true' and 'conditional' all at the same time) that doesn't change the fact that, for one whole War Games Session, Empress Gaia's 'darling' was without peer, and that she was the first of her Colleagues to straight-up one-shot another Monarch out of the competition in SHEATHES-10 history.

- Without having formed its ‘Demicosmic Nest’, the Heavenberry Matriarch is little more than a nuisance. It can theoretically spew special fruits from its ‘Berry Vines’ much like how ‘Razor Eagles’ can using their branch-like tails, but that tactic is more useful to fend off a chase or to saturate an area. Due to their somewhat lazy personalities, ‘Heavenberry Matriarchs’ find it tiring to have to use Telekinesis to wield the fruits they create. When trying to make a mad dash for a target location, such fruits are more useful for aiding allies. Besides, every ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’ knows its true cause: it’s not meant for a brawl, but it is meant to stroll into a war, make itself a nice throne, and then make everything around it take a knee. If a foe in question doesn’t have a knee, then it will provided some. It’s not a big deal, really.

DEFENSE OVERVIEW

- See Attack Overview and translate conceptually to make an educated guess as to how hard of a nut a single ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’ is to crack once its ‘Demicosmic Nest’ has been made.

- Note that the ‘Demicosmic Nest’ itself is protected by the ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’s Cosmic Self, so well in fact that it becomes an immovable object. It's not known excactly what makes it so impregnable. Some say the Psionfact-Psionmass Quantumphages totally immunize the place from anything non-Natura. Others say the 'Demicosmic Nest' is firmly in the grip of the 'Heavenberry Matriarch's Cosmic Self, and only another Cosmic equal to it could pry that grip open.

- As mentioned earlier, the Monarchs are capable of doing away with Absolutes without actually negating the truth of an Absolute in question. Yes, that alloy, fact or spell that any given Monarch just broke is unbreakable, not was, and despite having been broken Reality would state that it still is unbreakable. However, one must not forget that Logic in the Monarchs’ Territory doesn’t rule them; they rule it. This is why they can set Absolutes at will (this Subject is unbeatable, this Subject is immune to all attacks, etc, etc) and surmount them just as easily. Without the use of this particular caveat, an Absolute set by a Monarch would not be done away. Case and point, once the ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’ got cozy in a ‘Demicosmic Nest’ of its own, it took a Logic-Breaking action from either Empress Hecate or Emperor Vulcan to even budge it. Until then, nothing could move the ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’. Not a torrent of galaxy-shattering energy, not a curse that would have slain pantheons, not a joint attack by Nothingness and Entropy themselves, not even others who can easily break or ignore facts.

- Without a ‘Demicosmic Nest’, even senior ‘Heavenberry Matriarchs’ are surprisingly squishy. Yes, the Natura ‘Turtle’ making up this Subject is quite tough on its own, but compared to other Higher-Tier Subjects, the ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’ is very easy to drop. Even when the ‘Turtle’ carapace survives, if the rest of the Subject is dead, it’s still useless. This is often an enemy’s only hope. They either shoot down every single ‘Heavenberry Monarch’ heading for them or get horribly wrecked.

- Aside the Natura ‘Turtle’s shell, the Rampant Stem Cells, Absorption Rhizomes (or their modern day counterparts, if still relevant and/or applicable) the ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’ is able to use Psionics or Reality Warping to defend itself. This is, again, too tiring for these Subjects. Due to their many bodies (see Utility Overview) they prefer to simply face incoming fire head-on than waste any more effort fending for themselves. Why do they have to when all they really need is one of their many fragments to reach a destination and take root?

EMPLOYMENT OVERVIEW

- This Subject is small but terrible, and its Cosmic Self incalculable in size, but only in War Games. The ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’ is used as a multi-purpose powerhouse, able to spawn units like a carrier, deny and secure a massive area from enemies like a defender, and launch unstoppable volleys like a siege weapon, all at the same time.

- As with most Natura State Subjects, Empress Gaia has a peaceful and aesthetic side built into the ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’. It can terraform, but much like the ‘Nebulae Behemoths’ (who have probably undergone their own upgrades and are in possession of Cosmic Selves of their own, except those may be Beyond-Cosmic instead of merely Cosmic) the ‘Heavenberry’ Matriarch is much more suited to ‘terraform’ deep space itself. It can construct entire solar systems or reshape them as Empress Gaia sees fit. It can eliminate them if its Empress says so, but as long as there’s something even salvageable about one, then Empress Gaia prefers to fix things rather than break them.

- Because the ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’ isn’t too large of a Natura Subject, it is more suited to acting as a tourist vehicle for those wishing to visit SHEATHES-10. It can descend into an atmosphere without the need to deploy any reparative or bolstering effects (which larger Subjects needs to do, since some of them could accidentally destroy worlds just by being to near; such measures would allow them to even touch a planet without causing any harm or anomalies, but if there’s a route saves effort, then Empress Gaia will usually go for that) and it can create any kind of life support or luxury its guests may demand.

- Perhaps the true notoriety of the ‘Heavenberry Matriarch’ lay in how easy it was to deploy at the time. Its Cosmic Self had already been created, yes, maybe only in concept and confined to an Excell-Enclosed Reality. Empress Gaia only had to produce expendable bodies for it to channel its Cosmic Self into the Target Location. What should have been a paltry Subject was in fact a monster. This was why something as 'small' as a 'Heavenberry Matriarch' could take on masses of Machina world-sized ships and Arcana star-sized beasts without tiring during the War Games Session it was introduced. This was why no attack on the Hive Mind of the 'Heavenberry Matriarch' worked, as the entire network was safe in the grasp of an infallible animal. The 'Heavenberry Matriarch's Mundane Self can technically be considered an anchor, physical mouthpiece, and/or the doorway through which its Cosmic Self can affect the surrounding Reality, and its Cosmic Self can be considered an extra limb, a harmonious personality, and/or a projection of its identity too powerful for mere Space-Time to contain. The 'Heavenberry Matriarch' therefore lets its Cosmic Self and Mundane Self cooperate for the glory of Natura State; the latter lets the former into existence, and the former lets the latter out of existence. Cosmic and Mundane, Infinity and Finity, an Irresistible Force and Immovable Object: hand in hand, one in the same. Another paradox produced, and yet another paradox that never hindered the Monarchs.

VARIANT OVERVIEW

- Mandatory Emissary Note: It is tradition for 'Watchers' to document a variant of a Subject from its Sibling-SHEATHES, if one exists. Despite their close bond, however, Sibling-SHEATHES are unable to exchange Subjects. Any Monarchs who have 'Lesser Numbers' risk dying from overexertion if attempting to accept a Subject from a 'Higher Number' Monarch. Any Monarchs who have 'Higher Numbers' are guaranteed to crush a Subject from a 'Lesser Number' Monarch in the 'grip' of their Authority. No exceptions. 'Higher Number' Monarchs cannot reinforce 'Lesser Number' Monarchs with Subjects. 'Lesser Number' Monarchs cannot evacuate Subjects into the SHEATHES of 'Higher Number' Monarchs. No 'Equal Numbers' exist for SHEATHES. All data contained herein applies to SHEATHES-10 and SHEATHES-700 only.

- SHEATHES-700 uses the ‘Heavenberry Grand-Matriarch’. Not much is known about this beast because not even Empress Gaia, who is Emperor Temujin’s ‘little sister’ can comprehend the magnitude of her brother’s work when it comes to this Subject.
